Dorothy Brook was born in London, studied Graphic Design at St Martin's and only took up sculpture after her third child was born. Always fascinated by patterns and curves everywhere around her, she tries to present her forms in the most aesthetically pleasing and harmonious way. She is passionate about dance and music, which trigger the ideas for her sculptures. The dynamics of movement or the split second before a twist or turn are central to her work, both in two and three-dimensional form. She has exhibited in several group shows and has many drawings and sculptures in collections around the world. |
